The book presents the results of many years of research on the development of a technology for the rehabilitation of man-made tailing dumps and quarry workings in the Murmansk region exposed to wind erosion without earthworks and application of protective polymer reagents. It is based on the use of production and consumption waste of regional water supply and sewerage systems: sewage sludge and clarified municipal wastewater.
The technology will contribute to solving urgent environmental problems - accumulation, effective recycling of municipal waste in the national economy, restoration of the ecosystem potential of disturbed Arctic landscapes, their transformation into a state suitable for further use, and prevention of negative impact on the environment in the region.
