Anthology of modern Belarusian drama “Everything is fine. Her-Version ”is a collection of the latest Belarusian plays and texts, authored by women playwrights. When announcing this collection, as well as in the process of discussing its cover, a team of editors, which included Ksenia Knyazeva, Elena Malchevskaya and I, agreed that we, as researchers, do not want to declare this book as a manifesto, although in the Belarusian theater there is a similar manifesto ( yet?) did not happen. First of all, we are driven by the interest to look at the history of Belarusian theater and drama from a feminist perspective, keeping the priority of the aesthetic and conceptual dimension of these plays. Therefore, in our opinion, this collection includes some of the best texts written in recent years, which are interesting material from the point of view of both literature and future performances. The fact that all authors are women is certainly not an accident, but the concept of an anthology. But it is legitimate to ask the question: why should this be surprising? Dozens of dramatic collections have been published, where only male names are presented, and no one has any questions about "exclusion". They explain the absence or minimal inclusion of texts by women playwrights by the fact that, they say, there are no good (by what criteria?) Plays. Debunking this stereotype is also one of the tasks of our collection.
