When retired, a former correspondent of TASS made up his mind to publish the materials he had not used before. The book represents short stories about Kostroma Region' s people. Some of those who appeared in the volume are well known to people, but, unfortunately, many of them were unfamiliar till now. The author's desire is to remind Kostroma's people of great figures of their region, of their vivid lives, and salient merits.
