The book presents the first detailed study of the ethical poetry of Soviet Muslims and a complete publication in the original and modern Tatar transliteration of one of the most interesting examples of this poetry a collection of poems by the Sufi sheikh Kyyametdin al-Kadyiri (1882-1951), who was the imam of the mosque Mardzhani during the Great Patriotic War in Kazan. The unique manuscript survived in the archives of Gabdelkhabir Yarullin (1905–1994) and is now kept in the Scholarly library of the Kazan Federal University.
