The publication examines current problem of reviving and strengthening the traditions of Islamic education among the peoples of Russia, taking into account the factor of confrontation with regional and global challenges. After the collapse of the USSR, the Muslim Ummah tried to find ways to restore the traditions of religious education. Muslims faced the challenges of the policy of secularization, radicalization and globalization in the process of acquiring a religious identity and reviving the historical and cultural community of the peoples of Russia.
