The Bratislava theatre SkRAT began its activity soon after the collapse of the Stoka theatre. The theatre is very successful, as evidenced by its participation in various theatre festivals and tours of European countries, especially in Bohemia and Germany. Nevertheless, it has to be mentioned that relatively little has been written about the theatre so far. The book reflects two main aspects. On the one hand, it is the SkRAT theatre as an institutionalized cultural and social phenomenon, on the other hand we look at concrete works, through interpretative probes selected for interpretation. In interpretations, it is about interpreting or approaching games as works of art. The material basis of the analysis is played by scripts and their specific realizations (only personally viewed performances). The SkRAT Theatre is both an alternative theatre and, in the light of developments, it works on the principle of "decomposition theatre". The plays of such a theatre retain the text of the script, but their own, as the actors are also the authors of their characters. Performances are born on trials where everyone does what he wants, what he likes.
