Foreigners around us ... In the workplace, in mixed marriages, as new property owners in the neighborhood, as tourists, students, patients ... This is a phenomenon today, a phenomenon that we are gradually learning to live with. However, how to manage this process so that we are not burdened with prejudices and stereotypical perceptions of other cultures or their members? How to tune in to the cultural code of an alien? What is called liquidity modernity and how does the blind spot on our retina without photoreceptors relate to our fear of foreigners? How can you lose your business without knowing the culture of foreigners? Why is interwar Bratislava an example for the coexistence of ethnicities, cultures and churches? What is the tens before entering into marriage with a foreigner and how can intercultural family mediation contribute to its fulfillment? And what are the specifics of mobbing and bossing towards foreigners in Slovakia and how to fight them. Finding answers to these questions, including preparing foreigners for life in our country, is a key reason why knowledge and respect for foreign cultural phenomena, education, training and preparation of young people in particular for life in a culturally, ethnically, linguistically and religiously heterogeneous society should be, extremely important role. A common place in this process has the ambition to take the mediation, whether intercultural, interethnic, respectively interreligious with its potential for conflict prevention and resolution.
