Indje voivoda, who became a symbol of the fearlessness of Hajdush, is one of the emblematic figures in the Bulgarian national liberation struggle. The novel of the same name by Konstantin Petkanov is a historical account of the heroic and fighting spirit of the Bulgarian during the Kardzhalian period at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century.
