The diary of the rear admiral V.Pilkin, a representative of the elite of the Russian fleet at the beginning of the XXth century, is a unique historical source. The diary of Pilkin - the closest companion of the General N.Yudenich - contains valuable information on the North-Western army, relations with politicians of the White movement and foreign "allies", about the social and psychological atmosphere of that dramatic period of Russian history, and about the first period of life in emigration.
