The book consists of two sections: “Dynasty of Counts Ignatiev” and “Arsenyev - the road to immortality.” Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev (1832-1908) was Russian statesman from the Ignatiev family, Russian envoy to Beijing (1859-1860), ambassador to Constantinople (1864-1877), Minister of State Property. The second section of the book talks about the life and work of the Far East explorer, writer and scientist V.K. Arsenyev, whose 150th birthday was celebrated last year.
