This book, like the first one, acquaints readers mainly with those who at one time served in the ranks of the Verkhneoyemsk militia.
This time, most of the attention is paid to the employees of the investigation, the criminal investigation department, the inquiry, the security and escort service and the State Traffic Inspectorate. The publications in the regional newspaper since the late 1950s are taken as a basis. They are given in chronological order, which makes it possible to trace how the situation has changed with the personnel in the ROVD and with the law and order in the area. Clarifications on the periods of service of employees are given on the basis of archival references. Like the first edition, this one ends with a sports chronicle.
