The book comprises memoirs of M.Chokai (Gorina) about her husband Mustafa Chokai, leader of Turkic national liberation movement and head of Turkistan self-government. Born in the aristocratic family of Kazakh nomads M.Chokai held a high post at the beginning of the XXth century. Being a remarkable political figure and a great ideologist of national liberation movement he constituted a menace to Bolshevik authorities and had to immigrate to France where he spent 20 years and left significant theoretical heritage kept in the libraries of Europe and the USA. This book is supposed to rehabilitate M.Chokai and shed light upon some unknown pages in the history of Turkic national liberation movement.
