The work of the Ukrainian historian, publicist, public and political figure Myron Korduba (1876–1947), published in 1906, is devoted to the history of Bukovina. At one time, the book was recommended as a textbook for Ukrainian schools. The author introduces readers to the geographical features of Bukovina, popularly covers the timeline of major historical events in the Bukovina region, showing links of Bukovina history with events in other Ukrainian lands. The text is complemented by portraits and drawings. The proposed edition is adapted to the modern Ukrainian language by Myron Korduba's Illustrated History of Bukovina, published in 1906. The book contains notes and archival photo documents.
