The author's intention was to inquire into the scientific ideology of Vasil Yaremenka, professor of the Taras Shevchenka University in Kyiv. A detailed scientific analysis of the professor's opinions on the ancient Ukrainian literature, on the phenomenon of Taras Shevchenka and on panorama of the literature of the XXth century is presented. The work also studies an influence of the scientific methodology of academician V.Peretz on Yaryomenka's works. This publication also includes a bibliographic reference on the basic scientific works by V.Yaremenka and commentaries.
