The aim of this book is to acquaint the reader with two trends of investigations in the sphere of ethnography and ethnology. On the one hand it presents the analysis of factors, origins, mechanisms and presuppositions of ethnical mobilization and shows a contradictory role of intelligentsia in the use of uniting strength of native language. On the other hand the author presents some principles and approaches used in the study of ethnicity and ethnic identification that makes it possible to comprehend the role of ethnic mobilization.
