The glorious Kostia gave all his life to Ukraine: for the sake of its freedom - to fight against the enemies - he left his home, for its freedom Sirko's sons died. And the one who betrayed Ukraine was no longer his comrade or comrade-in-arms. That is why Sirko did not consider either Doroshenko or Samoilovych to be real hetmans, for whom power became more valuable than their homeland. He wanted the Ukrainians, who never encroached on other people's lands, did not lose their native land, and lived without obeying their enemies.
