The project Japan and Mankinds Global Problems was perceived as a result of a sudden and rather shocking revelation concerning the widely accepted concept of those problems. However, the authors concentrated their main efforts on thorough analysis of non-canonical problems. The reader will find profound analyses of ecologic, religious, economic, criminal, social, cultural situation in Japan. The project had as its base the Agreement between the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Japan Foundation and was produced by the Center for Contemporary Japanese Studies.
