This is a part of the diary of my father - a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Aleksandrov Georgy Petrovich, covering the period from June 29, 1941 to the autumn of 1945. The diary briefly, but succinctly and understandably, describes the retreat path, and work in the rear before being drafted into the active army, and the battles in Stalingrad and near Belgorod, teaching in the Urals after being seriously wounded, and participating in the war with Japan. About the attitude to civil and military duty, love for the Motherland, expressed in these notes by a young lieutenant who went through the roads of war, who wanted to pass on to the modern generation as an example of citizenship, patriotism and service to the Fatherland.
