The book presents Slovakian documents of Empress Marie Theresia's Socage Regulations. When the Socage Regulations were introduced, the linguistic multuplicity of the Empire was reflected in the documents. All languages spoken in Hungary at that time were used. Out of the documents of the Socage Regulation, the Urbarium and the Tabella were issued in Rusyn language. Aprroximately 200 Fassios, that is, property and income declarations prepared for taxation purposes were found. These documents were written in Rusyn, but accorfing to Hungarian spelling rules. These documents are invaluable sources of the history of the Rusyn language and also that of the history of Rusyn economy in the XVIIIth century.
