The book of collected testimonies, I see it before my eyes, as if it were today, was created over several years on the premises of the Mikulaskovo Square Senior Citizens' Home in Brno. It is built from more than thirty recorded memories of eyewitnesses, primarily from the period of the Protectorate and World War II. However, the narrative, by its very nature, also affected the pre-war and post-war decades. The collection of narratives as a whole creates a picture of everyday and war days not only in Brno but also in the wider area.
