The book "I came from Magadan" is the memoirs of the famous American in Magadan, Larry Rockhill. He lived in Magadan for two years, worked at the university, and received the title of Honorary Professor. But the main thing that this man succeeded in was the establishment of friendly relations between people living in Kolyma and Alaska. The book is the author's translation from English into Russian by Larry Rockhill together with his wife and with the assistance of Arseny Garipov. The Russian version was released 9 months before the English version. Also in the Russian version there are additions by Pavel Yuryevich Zhdanov (publisher, journalist, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia), a direct participant in the events.
