This book is a tribute to the great Russian musician Sergey Rachmaninoff, whose life was closely connected with the Tambov Land. It comprises memoirs of old residents from Ivanovka. Attention is paid to Rachmaninoff’s offsprings, how they immortalize name and musical heritage of Rachmaninoff today. Letters of the genius composer are also published in the book. It includes the article “A Singer of Intimate Attitudes” by a musical critique and pedagogue G.P.Prokofjev, which is devoted to creative activity of Rachmaninoff.
