The book is based on archival materials and presents the reconstruction of the events that took place in Perm during the Great Terror (a campaign of political repression in the Soviet Union which occurred from 1936 to 1938). In the center of the author’s attention there is Iosif Izrailevich Poberezhsky, the first director of Perm Aircraft Factory named after Stalin, and his persecution and death.
