The theses of reports presented at two international conferences held simultaneously in Budapest underlie the collection. The first conference named "Grammatical Systems and areal Typology in Focus - the Case of Baltic Languages" is dedicated to the problems of Baltic Linguistics and was the first arrangement of Hungarian Baltistics; the second one "The Languages of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and of contemporary Central and Eastern Europe countries: the word, expression and ideas migration" continued the series of conferences in old and new languages on the territory of GDL.
