The book contains little-known information about the hospitals and infirmaries of the First World War, referred to in those years as the Great European or Second Patriotic War. The review covers more than 1,000 military medical institutions of the Southwestern, Western and Northwestern fronts that provided assistance to the wounded on the territory of modern Belarus. The list includes medical institutions of the military department, the Russian Red Cross Society, the All-Russian Zemstvo Union, the All-Russian Union of Cities, Northern Aid, the Russian Orthodox Church, public organizations and individuals. In addition to consolidated, mobile, transit hospitals and infirmaries, advanced, disinfection and epidemic detachments, medical nutrition centers, patronages and letuchki were noted. Separately, various types of military hospital trains that ran on the railways of the Belarusian provinces are presented. Dozens of institutions formed at the expense of the Romanov family are presented. Like many nobles who kept infirmaries on their estates, including Irina Paskevich, Isabella Lyubanskaya, Plater-Ziberg, Gabriela Vankovich, Filiberta Harting, Gerard, Radzivils, Chapsky, Bonch-Osmolovsky, Khreptovich-Butenev, Obolenskaya, Alina Reiten, Puslovsky and Other noted in medical institutions Alexander Vertinsky, Sasha Cherny, Konstantin Paustovsky, Maxim Bogdanovich, Novikov-Priboy, Pavel Florensky, Sokolov-Mi Kitov, Alexander Blok and his wife, daughter of Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev - Sofia, daughter of Leo Tolstoy Alexandra Lvovna, husband of Marina Tsvetaeva Sergey Efron, great-granddaughter of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin - Sofya Vorontsova-Velyaminova and others. The names of hundreds of sisters of mercy, paramedics and doctors from hospitals are given as a tribute to the memory of their feat.
