The monograph treats one of the fundamental categories of Russian culture that was formed already in ancient Russian tradition – the phenomenon of the earthly Home, as a part of the heavenly Fatherland. Artistic perception of the phenomenon of Home in literature of the first third of the XIXth century is considered within the context of a national way of life and spiritual tradition which influence greatly the poetics of a fictional text.
