The first book of the 3rd volume covers the period when the former lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania were ruled by the Russian Empire, and the land of Klaipeda - by Prussia (Germany). At that time the cultural life of Lithuania was under a strong foreign influence. Historically and according to the art laws the development of Lithuanian architecture can be divided into the period of Romanticism (1820-1860), Historicism (1860-1918), and Art Nouveau (1900-1918). This cultural model coincides with that of Europe.
