The third volume reflects the history of towns (Dalmatovo, Shchadrinsk and Kurgan) from 1644 till 1917. These towns became the centers of war and administrative activity of the government as well as the centers of agriculture, trade, religion, trans-shipment points of goods from Europe to Asia. They were places of contact with local non-russian population (Bashkirs, Kazakhs, Tatars etc.) and of battles with various kinds of nomades. Historically resulted in the way that South Zaural'e was a kind of gates for all migrants from Asia to Europe and back.
