The book contains many previously unpublished materials, photographs and documents collected by the authors and preserved in the archives of the relatives of the clergy. In particular, for the first time, reference information about churches in the territory of the republic was collected for a period of a century and a half - from 1800 to the 1940s. A brief description and photographs of the temples of Ust-Sysolsky, Yarensky and Pechora counties is supplemented by information about when they were built, opened and closed, about which churches were revived and are operating now, and which were destroyed. The book also contains genealogies of 90 clergymen with photographs and details of the case of the "Holy Squad".
