The history of map-making on the territory of Ukraine from the ancient times up to 1920 (pre-Soviet period) has been stated in the monograph and its basic stages have been distinguished. The main cartographic works representing Ukrainian lands have been elucidated from the viewpoint of chronology. References in the history of map-making of the territory have been presented. The monograph includes black-and-white as well as colour maps of Ukraine made during different periods of time.
