Along with the achievement of peace on the eastern borders of the Republic of Poland, the Head of State and the commander of the victorious army, Jozef Pilsudski, often left the politicized Warsaw. On July 10, 1921, he visited the 18th Infantry Regiment stationed in Konin, which he presented with a banner funded by the inhabitants of three poviats (Konin, Kolo, Slupca). The author of the book takes the Reader to Konin on the threshold of Independence, reconstructs the course of Jozef Pilsudski's visit to the city and points to the main pillars of Konin's memory of him.
