The publication is a reference tool for studying the history of Orthodoxy in the Urals. Contains documentary materials about the oldest and most significant churches of the Yekaterinburg Metropolis, their fate and the composition of the clergy since the formation of an independent diocese. There are short biographies of some clergy, in the compilation of which information from the diocesan archive and printed diocesan publications was used. Photographic materials from the funds of the State Archive of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, the diocesan archive and various private collections clearly illustrate the pages of the past and present.
