The subject of the book is the significant military achievements of the Zaporozhian hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachnyi, for which he became famous at sea and on land. Considered the naval campaign of the Zaporizhzhia in 1616 led by him, which ended with the capture of the powerful Turkish fortress of Kafa. The main attention is paid to the detailed coverage of the military operations of P. Sahaidachnyi's army during the Polish-Moscow War of 1617–1618. The strategy and tactics of the struggle of the Ukrainian Cossacks with the Muscovites are revealed, in particular, on the examples of large-scale raids by P.
