Valery Dubovsky was born on June 4, 1948 in the village of Khatskova, Shklov district, Mogilev region, in a family of teachers. He made his first attempts at poetry in elementary school. He suspended his literary work in the eighties and returned to it in 2003. In 2009, he won the Republican competition "Art of the Book" in his nomination). This book of poems is another attempt to penetrate into his human and all-Belarusian "I", to understand it meaningfully, to comprehend it and, perhaps, to realize it.
