Many people refer to this book, but practically nobody read it. The first edition was published in 1933. Then the number of copies was lost, and the book became rare immediately after its appearance. For the first time in Russian archeology the authors gave an extensive review of the well-known data on Slavonic sanctuaries and a detailed description of the findings they got during the excavations of sanctuaries of the IX-XIIIth centuries on the river Zbruch in Podoliya (the territory of modern Ukraine).
