The offered book is devoted to one of the most tragic pages in the history of Azerbaijan - Sumgait or as it is usually referred to "Komsomol'sk na Kaspii". This highly industrial town with poor social and economic conditions after the collapse of the USSR faced such problems as unemployment, hundreds of Azerbaijani refugees, who were deliberately ousted from Armenia, which led to terrible events in Sumgait in February, 1988. The author quite vividly describes these real events supplying facts and happenings that took place at this time on the territory of Azerbaijan.
