Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi is a state technical university in Belarus, located in the city of Gomel.
The university was founded on the initiative of the former director of the Gomselmash plant Ivan Prokofievich Kotenok. The first 200 evening students began classes on October 1, 1968.
The university has about 4,500 students and 6 faculties.
In 2011, the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel was created on the basis of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel. The university also holds international scientific and technical conferences.
