«Aurora», «Diana» and «Pallad» were the first Russian Navy cruisers of the series built. Intended for action in the ocean they had good seaworthiness and high autonomy, but their weapons and protection did not meet the requirements of a combat fight. But all the three cruisers had to fight with enemy armored squadron.
