Genrikh Nikolaevich Klassen (1917-2002) was a Soviet scientist and Germanist, teacher, author of the first German primer in the Soviet Union (Fibel), professor, head of the German language department at the Bashkir State University, Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute (now the Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla), and dean of the faculty of foreign languages. Professor (1980). Honored Scientist of the Bashkir ASSR (1977).
