The monograph is dedicated to the analysis of modern socio-political transformations in Northern Caucasia. Socio-political transformations are considered as manifestation of global world changes, inter-ethnic conflicts, typical for Northern Caucasia, are taken up as processes of localization, intra-ethnic development, and national self-identification. Multi-ethnicity and diversity of cultures are defined as the main vectors, which determine development patterns typical for a particular transforming social area.
