In the book "Glass Doll" Maxim Klimkovich combined the scary stories of children's urban folklore. They are “not combed” by hypocritical literary moralism. The harsh plots remain as they were told and are told to each other by the children themselves. It is a continuation of a long literary tradition founded by the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault. In Belarus, it was continued by Jan Barszewski ("Nobles of Zavalnya, or Belarus in Fantastic Stories") and the closest to us in time Igor Sidaruk ("Instructive Stories of Uncle Sid Hand").
