In October 2016 the Pacific Institute of Geography celebrated the 45th anniversary. During the period from 2012 to 2016 the basic directions of scientific researches of the Institute, their structure and dynamics of geosystems, the problems of sustainable nature use, the territorial structures of economy and settling, and modeling have been finally determined. The first part of the book is devoted to the results of scientific researches of the Institute carried out for this period. In the second part the stories about field trips, expeditions, travels of the employees of the Institute, and about those people, who worked many years in the native Institute, have been collected.
