The general-adjutant Gussein- Nakhichevansky Khan was one of last knights of Imperial Russia, who did not recognize the revolution of 1917. Till his last days he was devoted to the Throne and Motherland. He started his military career as a cornet and grew till colonel during his service in Life Guards, was the commander the 2nd Dagestan Life Guards during the Russian-Japanese war. Nakhichevansky Khan was a holder of several decorations – 2 Orders of St.George, Golden Arm “For Courage” and 9 foreign orders.
