The study is aimed at forming the theoretical foundations of gender criminology. Models for the study of male and female crime are proposed, the prospects for their use as an information product and a basis for applied research on the study of crime, taking into account gender-sensitive indicators, as well as for the formation of prevention and social adaptation programs for convicts, are determined.
The study is based on a binary approach to gender, takes into account the theory of intersectionality. In the course of the study, an interdisciplinary model was used taking into account the provisions of criminology, gender theory, criminal law, criminal procedure, sociology, criminal statistics, and penal law. Employees of the following universities participate in the research group: Gomel State University named after F. Skorina, Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives, Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus.
