The novel "August of 1991" completes the cycle of "Galician Saga" by P. Luschyk. We said goodbye to the inhabitants of the Galician village of Peretyn in a difficult time for them: almost all men died in the forest outside the village, Peretyn itself was burned, and those who survived this meat grinder ended up in distant Siberia. Everything changed in the summer of 1991, when students of a local school accidentally came across the long-lost grave of the UPA soldiers. For the reburial of the heroes, those who left it back in the forties are gathering at the revived Peretyn. This coincided with the events that forever changed not only the lives of our heroes, but also finally collapsed the recently powerful Soviet Union and established an independent Ukraine.
