In recent years, the interest of linguists in the comparative study of the phraseology of genetically and typologically different languages has increased significantly. In most cases, the general and distinctive features of phraseological units within certain groups, fields and categories are studied. At the same time, until recently, the facts of national originality, “uniqueness”, “untranslatability” of phraseological units were studied, and cases of their interlingual coincidence or similarity were either ignored or considered as accidental, insignificant, background, while the study of interlingual phraseological community makes it possible to illuminate many aspects of the processes of borrowing and formation of international phraseology, find out the commonality of phrase-forming mechanisms, component composition and determine the factors that determine the emergence of similar phraseological units in different languages.
