Reprint of the book printed in Vilno in 1931. The collection of poems dedicated to ten year anniversary of the death of the famous poet Andrei Ziaziulia. The literary work and educational activity of priest A. Astromovich is connected with the origins of the Belarusian Catholic revival of the first half of the 20th century. The leader of this movement in Western Belarus was the historian, publicist, theologian and philosopher Reverend Adam Stankevich. In the monograph "Native language in shrines" he wrote: "In the 20th century. we are already encountering conscientious Belarusian priests, faithful sons of the Church and their people, like Fr. Budzka, A. Astramovich, K. Stepovich, Z. Yakut, F. Abrantovich, V. Gadlewski, V. Shutovich, P. Tatarinovich, A. Sikora, J. Reshat, I. Tarasevich and many others"2. The Polish Catholic administration did not trust Father Astromowicz and often changed his places of service. But the educator also used these trips to serve the Motherland. In the preface to the posthumous edition of the selected works of A. Zyaziula, A. Stankevich wrote: "All those corners of Ashmian and Volozhyn regions, such as Galshany, Traba, Vishnevo, Baruny, Krevo, where Zyaziula often visited, remember him even today. He brought there the ray of truth, the light of the Belarusian national consciousness, both with his living words and through his native book and newspaper [...]. Alexander Astramovich participated in the first congress of Belarusian Catholic priests (Minsk, 1917), was a member of the Union of Belarusian priests, which started the creation of the public organization Belarusian Christian Unity (BHZ), later reorganized into the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BHD) party.
