Bulgarian journalist Georgi Koritarov died suddenly on April 6, 2021 at the age of 61. According to media reports, he died of COVID-19 before getting a second dose of vaccine. Koritarov was one of the most popular Bulgarian journalists known for his provocative style, clear views and strong interest in history. He worked for the Demokratsiya newspaper, Radio Free Europe and Nova TV. In the last few years of his life, he hosted the daily talk show "Free Zone" on TV Evropa. This book presents the content of the "Free Zone" installments between January and April 2021. The material includes home policy analyses and comments on events in the Balkans. Koritarov paid particular attention to Bulgaria's dispute with the Republic of North Macedonia.
