The book enlightens little known events of the defense of Petropavlovsk in 1854 during the Crimean (Eastern) War. The main character of the book is Admiral David Price, Commander-in-Chief of the English-French Squadron. The author tries to reconstruct panorama of historical events, and to determine the reasons of the admiral's death basing on the contemporary studies, which result from cooperation with English historians.
