The three-volume edition presents fairy tales that existed in the oral tradition of various Jewish ethnic groups. Of the twenty-three thousand tales recorded and stored in the Israel Folklore Archive, two hundred and two were selected, most vividly reflecting the centuries-old collective memory of the Jewish people.
